Get Rid of Excessive Fat by Tummy Tuck Surgery

There are those individuals who are unluckily enough to have those protruding bellies and have large deposited fats that would be sagging around the belly. These are fairly common amongst women who have given birth. Mostly among women with multiple pregnancies, obese women, and partly to those aging individuals, these conditions are most likely seen.

It certainly can bother an individual as it pulls down their self-esteem. One can no longer wear their nicest dresses and outfits because of the protrusion. With the evolution and existence of medical technology nowadays, a procedure known as a tummy tuck fat can help put back the normal figure of the individual—minus the unwanted tummy fats.

What Is a Tummy Tuck Fat Procedure?

A tummy tuck fat procedure is done by a medical professional or a plastic surgeon wherein he/she makes an incision in the area that is evidently causing the protrusion and sagging due to the deposited fats. These fats cannot be managed by diet and exercise, hence going under the knife is usually the most common and popular choice most individuals would likely prefer.

The Contraindications in Undergoing This Kind of Procedure

Before anything else, prior to the surgery the medical professional handling the procedure would have to gather important and pertinent medical history and data regarding the patient. Even though tummy tuck fat surgery is a selective type of procedure, the candidate has to go through tests before he/she is brought to the table.

Important medical history and data especially to those who are planning to have loss of weight after the surgery are advised not to push through with the procedure. Women as well who are planning to get pregnant are also advised to delay such procedure to avoid complications.

Before and After Tummy Tuck Surgery

When an individual is undergoing the surgery, he or she is put through a general anesthesia, ensuring that the individual would feel no pain during the procedure. A scar would likely be seen in the pubic hairline, also referred to as the bikini line. After the procedure, the individual would likely notice a distinct improvement in the area such as:

  • Smoother abdomen
  • Flat abdomen
  • Decrease sagging fats in the abdominal area

Usually it would likely take about 2 weeks for an individual to be able to get back to work and perform his/her daily routine. However, it is highly advised that strenuous activities should be avoided to avoid and prevent complications to arise.

Risks of Tummy Tuck Fat Procedure

In every procedure being done and performed, risks comes along with it. These are the following common risks that would likely arise after the surgery/procedure is done:

  • Loss of skin sensation that can be explained with the bruising and trauma the site/area has been in.
  • Fluid accumulation. With invasive surgery, there is trauma. When there is trauma, there is the disruption with the balance of the exchange of fluids. Hence, pooling of blood and edema (fluid accumulation) is likely common.
  • Loss of skin. Since the procedure itself is to remove partly the skin and tucking it in, there would be a significant loss of skin area.
