Nothing beats a clean feeling down there. Aside from the comfort it brings the genital area, having your genital hair removed is also clean and hygienic.  There are varied ways of removing unwanted hair around and on the genital area. You can wax it, shave it through the use of ordinary shavers. But though waxing and shaving are good options for hair removal, most people, especially those who are busy with their careers, want to permanently remove their pubic hair through a laser hair removal genital. Now before opting to go through the process, you might want to consider the following tips:

Genital Laser Hair Removal

  • If you have light skin and dark-colored hair, you are an ideal candidate for laser hair removal on the genital area. Laser targets the pigment in hair and the darker the better. However, a laser will not be able to distinguish the difference between dark skin and dark hair, so it has the tendency to heat up dark skin as well. This situation can bring about some color changes to one’s skin, and unfortunately, this can last for months.
  • If you are going to get laser hair removal in the bikini area, it’s important to find someone with a lot of experience. This is because the area around the vagina has uneven surfaces due to the location of your labia, clitoris, and the opening of the vagina in general. Using anything sharp for hair removal in this region prove to be risky as it may cut the skin very easily.
  • Avoid sun in the area for a week or two before and after treatment. Sometimes getting sun on the area right after laser can change the skin color.  If possible, don’t go through laser hair removal genital prior to a vacation or right after you have been tanning.
  • Try to remember that conventional electric shaving devices and shaving blades that were not specifically designed for the pubic region are not suitable for hair removal on the bikini area. It may even result in cuts and even painfully ingrowing pubic hair. That is why it is advisable to use facial shavers, leg shavers, and other non-region-specific shavers to eliminate unwanted hair down there.
  • For temporary hair removal in the pubic area, you can use a special shaving device, but if you want a permanent hair removal, you should consider laser hair removal genital.
